Magic Box Brings Hands-On Media Arts Programs for All Ages to the Harrison Public Library!
Starting this fall, Magic Box’s professional media teaching artists will be onsite at the newly refurbished Harrison Library leading a variety of fun and accessible media arts workshops. Classes will be available at the Library most Saturdays from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, starting with a Family Photography Workshop on November 28th, 2015.

On June 17, The Embassy of France was the perfect setting where families, teachers and students from PS84 and MS256’s Dual Language French program gathered during the MBP culminating photo exhibit.
JHS 194 Student Photography Exhibit at Auburndale Library:
On Monday May 18th at the Auburndale Public Library in Queens, Magic Box photography students at JHS 194 participated in the grand opening of their photo exhibit documenting faces and places throughout Queens, NY. The students worked in our after school CASA program using traditional digital cameras as well as handmade "Bigshot" cameras they assembled themselves.
FOCUS 2015: HONORING PAUL KING AND JANE REMER
On Thursday May 7th, Magic Box Productions hosted FOCUS 2015 at the Poet's Den Gallery in East Harlem, where Paul King, Executive Director of the Office of Arts and Special Projects for the NYC Department of Education and Jane Remer, Author, Philanthropist and Arts Education Evaluator were honored for their extensive and remarkable contributions to Arts and Education.
Spring Awakenings
For the first time in MBP history, our students are not only capturing fascinating images using digital cameras, they're actually building them! DIY: Building Cameras and Community, is a Creative After School Adventure program at JHS 194 in Queens, NY, in which 6th and 7th grade MBP students learn to assemble Bigshot digital cameras to use to document their community.
